He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Carl also volunteers for the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) where he counsels current and prospective business owners.
During Small Business Week in 2002, Carl was selected by the Philadelphia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Advocates for Small Business (ASB) as "Business Advocate of the Year" for Eastern Pennsylvania. His selection was due to his outstanding advocacy efforts, as an accountant, on behalf of small businesses.
His accounting and tax-related articles have appeared in local and national publications, and he has spoken on related topics for a number of organizations. Carl earned a BS in Accounting from Elizabethtown College and a Masters Degree in Taxation (MST) from Widener University.
Carl enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, chairing the "Eradicating Polio" committee of the Spring Ford Chapter of Rotary International, and serving on the Board of Directors of the Colonial Theatre.
